I am a professional salesman with over 10 years of experience across industries, from consulting to consumer goods, fashion, e-commerce and supply chain management. I am currently building Suplias – an online packed food distribution company.
Prior to Suplias in 2020, I led the $30M Fashion & Beauty business at Jumia.
I started my career in 2010 as an intern at Accenture. From there, I joined Procter & Gamble (P&G) Nigeria as a Key Account Manager. I led sales and business operations at one of P&G’s largest distributor organizations in West Africa from 2011 until 2013. I grew quickly to the role of Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy which I held until 2015. In August of that year, I joined the MBA program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business as a Stanford Africa Fellow and Stanford Social Impact Fellow.
Driven by my long-held mission to lead business transformation in the fashion industry, I interned at Pomelo, Southeast Asia’s biggest online fashion brand, in Bangkok, Thailand as a Supply Chain Management Consultant. Upon graduation from Stanford GSB, I joined Gap Inc. in San Francisco as Global Supply Chain Strategy Manager where I was responsible for operations and strategic project management.
In line with my passion for driving social change, I have consulted for the Special Adviser on Job Creation and Youth Empowerment to the Governor of Ogun State in South-West Nigeria on social impact strategies and impact investing projects to transform the lives of young people across the state. I have also co-founded COMDEV Africa, a social enterprise aimed at transforming the economies of local communities across Africa.
Most recently, I have detailed my childhood in my memoir, Adewale: My Mother’s Son which will be in stores in the 10th of December 2020.
I am a graduate (First-Class Honours) of Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where I was also President of Faculty of Engineering Student Association and a Shell Nigeria Scholar. I live in Lagos with Stephanie, my UNILAG sweetheart, and our lovely kids, Alexander and Cleopatra.
