ADEWALE STUDENTS' CONFERENCE 2022

Today's Skills For Tomorrow's Wealth

Inspiring Hope; Sagamu Anticipates Adewale Students' Conference 2.0

Building on the impact and goodwill garnered from the conference's maiden edition last year, the second edition of the Adewale Students' Conference themed "Today's Skill for Tomorrow's Wealth” is set to hold on 29th September 2022 at the Indoor Hall, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu Ogun State.

The event, which combines the grand finale of the annual STEM-based competition with an insightful seminar, is expected to empower secondary students in Ogun state.

The STEM-based competition began with a qualifying round featuring over 300 schools drawn from across 16 local government areas of Ogun state. Forty schools have now qualified for the final round, a major highlight of the Adewale Students' Conference. The competition will award the winner a grand prize of one million naira and other consolation prizes for other winners. This year's prize goes ten times higher than the maiden edition to encourage healthy academic competition and show that learning activities can be rewarding and fun.

The theme for the conference, Today's Skills for Tomorrow's Wealth, will touch on salient topics to help young adults prepare for their desired future. The world is gradually moving to a technology-focused era, and the demand for soft and hard skills is rising. Skills such as programming, Iteration, blockchain development, UX/UI design, cloud computing, content marketing, problem-solving, etc. are the order of the day. It is vital to ensure that the next generation is up to date and equipped with the necessary knowledge to succeed in this era. The realisation that students can learn these skills while actively pursuing their structured education is even more pivotal.

To further inspire the students, a keynote address will be delivered by Olajumoke Oduwole, the chief speaker for this year's edition. Olajumoke is a software product developer, tech educator and the CEO of KJK Africa, one of Nigeria's leading software design and development companies based in Lagos. She was listed on Forbes 30 under 30 in 2020. In addition to Olajumoke's impressive profile, her story must be told to every aspiring young adult. Other notable educational officials in Ogun state will grace the occasion as well.

The event, organised by Michael Adewale Adesanya in partnership with Tweakcentric Solutions and proudly supported by the Ogun State Ministry of Education, is sponsored by Gbfoods Bama, Education USA, Alumunite, Alajo, Eyowo, American Corner Ikeja, Oris, Wilson Juice, and Ritesfood. These brands prioritise educational development, and we look forward to impacting Ogun state students' lives with their utmost support.

Adewale Students' Conference aims to encourage more investment in academic talents, boost healthy competition and raise awareness for more edutainment programs in the country. The convener envisions a time when the educational system can accommodate every child in this country. Regardless of a child's background, every child deserves access to quality basic education. Get ready to witness one of the year's most profound educational events: the Adewale Students' Conference.
